I'm Nicola, mother of two boys born September 2013 and January 2016, and wife to a Spurs fan (sorry). Born and bred in North Wales, I moved down to South East England after meeting my better half at university.

I have a degree in Maths and Artificial Intelligence, I like growing stuff and baking stuff, and I used to keep chickens. I also like jigsaws, lindyhop and always puke on roller coaster rides. By default I ain't cool, but that's fine by me.

I didn’t want this to be a 'mummy diary' type blog but as I’m struggling to find a decent part time job that makes good use of my professional qualifications, as a consequence I’ve succumbed to ‘stay-at-home mum-dom’ and the parenting posts have, inevitably, wheedled their way in. Anyway, what can I say - I love my kids.

If you need any more encouragement, take a peep and you'll discover I also love to blog about food, advice pieces, soapbox feminism and working parent woes. All with a healthy helping of sarcasm and humour, of course.

My first ever article for Huffington Post went straight to their front page over Christmas 2016, I am a regular contributor to Meetothermums.com and am steadily working my way up the Tots 100 index. I have also been selected as the featured blogger for a number of linkies including #DreamTeam, #Blogstravaganza, #ForTheLoveOfBlog, #TodaysMomentInTime and #SundayBest.

Please feel free to find me on Facebook and like my page Mummy Wales or follow me on Twitter @mummy_wales. I'm also on Ello, Bloglovin and Google Plus. And after some gentle encouragement to 'get with it', I've joined Instagram as@mummy_wales1
